    Answering the phone is the worst. I have a guy at work, he's a mainframe programmer, and apparently hates to type. Simple questions that I could have answered asynchronously via email or IM, he always calls directly.

    I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't a cold call every time. Maybe IM me, "I'm about to call you about ticket #xxxx" so I can at least start with some context.

    Or even, "OK if I call you with a question?" and then wait for my response instead of interrupting me with a VCS question you should already have learned on your own by now.

    Before my current position I worked overnights and had to answer the help desk phone, since they weren't 24/7. Now every time my phone rings my stomach starts to boil. 😔

    @jallman112 aww, support stuff is the worst. :( I get shaky when I'm on the phone at times, no lie. Been thru too much with the industry I'm in and the type of clients we have - there are some pretty demanding, heartless assholes.
