Those of you who uses Gentoo, Arch Linux or whatever. How do you remember the code to install it?

I use arch but I don't have any of the installation memorized. That's why there's a wiki.

the arch wiki, or the upstream documentation for anything

I used the ArchWiki the first time I installed, and wrote down the process for easy access. Made future installs a breeze, and negated the need to sift through some wiki sections that don't pertain to my machine.

Installed it manually then remade it in a vm with a script. here's a half script. partition first, after create your user. Change the packages you don't want etc.

Some things are simple to remember, others I find in wiki

I saw the arch wiki the first time, then i wrote the general pricess in a file in the cloud. Beside there aren't much to remember for arch you partition the hdd (if needed), put the proper file system, mount the right hdd partition, install the base system in the right partition then do a chroot to install other stufs like network manager and stuf that you use, put your config, put a root pass etc... and voila. That's the very basic for Arch
