I think a "follow" or "add friend" feature here on devRant might be good (+direct messaging) 😆

I actually think those features would be neat to have.

Direct messaging is not the point of this app.

As I mentioned in my feature request rant about this there wouldn't be anything wrong with follow button, as long as it would be used only for being notified about user's rants and number of followers wouldn't be displayed (therefore avoiding popularity contest feel of twitter and the like)
