you know, like when YouTube shows grey boxes while the content is loading to let the reader know that there will be something there at some point.

But I keep waiting for it to load! My brain just assumes that the content is not ready yet so I wait but I'm the one who put it there in the first place! I'm supposed to be the one manipulating the user with intuitive UI, not the UI manipulating me!
