How can you tell the difference between "AI" and "Al"? Who the fuck designed these letters?

@100110111 it depends on language. I wonder if there is any letter that is pronounced in the same way in every language that uses it.

Blame the Romans, who were the ones to introduce lowercase to the Latin alphabet.

Now I’m wondering why there is lowercase and uppercase at all.
I never questioned it before.

@Lensflare It's easier to write by hand (while straight lines are easier to chisel into a stone monument) and then some king told us to use lowercase because he liked to decide what things were fashionable.

l is a teensy bit taller than A and I is about a same height or a teensy bit short I think.
So the way to do this would be to stick the phone in the face and start measuring those bloody characters.
