I freaking hate school curriculums, I have only 5 classes this semester, only two of them are career related and one is about QA, I want to focus on my code, projects, things that really matter but instead I have to do Socials homework, learn how to do research papers, learn about marketing. I really hate this. Besides the classes I have on development are extremely light. And I have to pay for this crap

    All of that is important. Learn it.

    @mundo03 Come on bro, I've to study a lot of stuff I'll never USE and the classes that should be useful are not even a challenge, and because I'm a super coder or engineer, but because most of them are slow.

    Just quit. I am on fourth semester one day off (Friday) so I can code in xcode or make arduino/raspberry pi projects on my own

    @peterzig Here in Mexico title matters :(

    Dude. Shut up, suck it up, learn some new shit, or quit. You'll probably have to do shit you don't want to (I tell this to my 6 yr old). QA's a big one if you ever have to work on unbelievably terribly written code in a production environment.

    @joetj I was excited about the QA class, in fact I was looking forward to it, but we are in the third week of class, we haven't had a single QA class, or any kind of class. I'm staying because of the title and some other (few) classes I'm interested in

    Sounds wack. I'd leave, or spend all of my free time learning new stuff. I need to learn Haskell.

    @joetj Exactly why I'm doing, but with other languages, but now you see my dilema

    Yeah. Why do you need the title? My manager doesn't have a degree. He's just really good at designing/programming, I have a degree, and a masters and am earning 10k less. Surely that's the point, get good however you can...

    @thmnmlst @jpichardo yes really, it is not about using it, it is about knowing what is up. Knowing is worth it. I am not saying we have to be experts in everything but KNOWING something else is, was or will be out there is the shit.

    KEEP LEARNING

    @joetj yeah it happens

    @mundo03 I won't quit, I just wanted to rant about it, I'm really upset

    @jpichardo In Poland it's rather my parents who are giving f about it, my future boss is going to look at github and tbh I just study to get Bachelors work year or two to get job experience in iOS development and then move to UK to make more money than in cheap Poland
