Event calendar for music/festivities/bbq's/block parties near you? (Invites, interested, guest-list management and so forth)
So thats at least date/time shennanigans and some geo-location with a dash of user login, a bit of search and some old fashioned data modeling

@knuppelsmurf someone in my class is doing a project of this sort, but I don't think they have generalised it to usage constraints, like they've specified it to college based events and workshops. Also, I don't think they would go into such depth features so I can also brainstorm this idea.

If you're gamers you can do a website which has a catalogue of games, reviews against the games by the team who run the website, star ratings, related games, comments that can be left by anyone with a Facebook login etc.
Can build an admin console so you can add games and reviews etc.

I did a site like this for a group project we had at Uni 👍

@stonyark I started one of those 1.5 years ago for my work, still not finished. Asset managers are so fucking intricate and fiddly with so many things that could break.
