    Low level: rust
    Mid level: go, java, c#
    High level: python, typescript

    frameworks
    rust - rocket ???
    java - spring
    go - gin, gorilla ???
    c# - .net ???
    python - django, flask, asyncio
    typescript - nextjs, angular

    tools

@heyheni I disagree. Chinese languages don't have a particular alphabet, don't follow sanskrit based rules, and not easy to write at all.

F# is cool and worth learning ;)
So is Pharo... and <insert half a billion langs/fws/tools>... oh, and PHP.

@100110111 "php" brings back terrifying memories. Never again.

In my experience, it's best to focus on learning the vanilla language of any choice thoroughly before diving into learning a framework.

But if you've been there/done that, definitely ones that are more in demand by employers right now!

Or something more niche, depending on what you're after.

@MissTofu what are the ones in demand by employers rn?

But actually, I'm asking what new thing is worth learning from the perspective of been there/done that.

I’ll suggest scala. One coz its easy to learn 2, its in demand since i think you dabble in the AI/ML world (powerful, lightweight, reactive) 3, scala devs earn a lot.

Once you get the grasp of functional programming scala, frameworks like play and akka are just icing on the cake.

@witchDev Scala 3 does tip the scales in favor of Scala becoming worth to learn for more reasons than just the pay (which is only true in the States - or rather, let’s put it this way: Scala may not pay that well at all depending on where you at)

"Cool" would be anything functional at the moment - OCaml for instance. What employers want though tends to be the more "boring" stuff - Java, C#, node.js, etc.

FORTRAN, Visual Basic, SCALA, jquery, Perl, SmallTalk, Wordpress, and of course a working knowledge of punch cards

Master all this and the job offers will come pouring in ^^

@jmau111 love go as a beginner language because it emphasizes good programming practice in general
