So you may want to join a sports club or ask someone to learn a new language with you together. Mandarin chinese is fun.

@heyheni you are right. Coincidentally, I want to learn Mandarin but it seems intimidatingly difficult.

@rantsauce don't be intimidated, it was surprisingly easy to learn the hard part is getting into it and then after a certain level it gets much easier

A way to go about it is to learn pinyin+ pronunciation, learn hsk(Google it) vocabulary with grammar and go through level to level

Do semi-dangerous activities to bond with people over.

Like white water rafting. Or sky diving. Or rock climbing.

Nothing says "lets be friends" like saving someones ass, or nearly dying and someone saving *yours*.
