My parents donn't like me being into development. They just want me to do teaching job which is half of day. They don't like my full day job. But I do enjoy the work I am doing and quite passionate about it too. Its just sometime I feel so alone like my own parents do not support me at all.

But why? Why on earth parents wouldn't wants their child to be happy?

Just tell your parents you could have ended up selling drugs. Writing code is a pretty ok way to earn a living.

Teaching is definitely not a half day job and usually, it is even more demanding than a dev job.

People often forget teaching involves planning, creating courses, creating projects, correcting exams and projects and in general, providing help to students outside of the teaching hours.

Also, a good teacher should aim to update their knowledge and courses every few years, especially if the subject is tech related.

You can tell your parents are wrong if they think teaching is easy.
