I have to disagree too. CSS and SQL are both pretty stable and fun. They can get annoying

@drflawless I am the opposite, love SQL and hate CSS. However the reason I hate CSS isn't necessarily CSS fault but the diverse browser implementations

I would disagree as with the many others here. First your kinda comparing apples and oranges, since CSS isn't really a full blown programming language. It doesn't really have many of the flaws or distractions of SQL. Second, it's pretty powerful considering it's not a full blown lang.

A more apt comparison would be JavaScript, I think, but even JS is coming into its own and I don't have as many qualms with it as I once had.

You think SQL is a bitch, try using Salesforce's SOQL after using SQL.
