Use it pretty regularly yeah (although Firefox is still my main browser) and except for some flickering (could be my monitor though) it works great! Love the customisability!
-
@unrealchrisp It's based on Chromium which is what Chrome is based on but I can't answer your question I think
-
@linuxxx just installed it...the customizability options...wow.
And i have just seen that it uses extensions from chrome webstore. If it's not a memory hog like they advertised this will be great improvement. Chrome without chrome -
It's my main browser. I love it.
The only downside is that it doesn't support bookmark sync yet. You can browse the web without mouse with vivaldi. -
@heyheni it sure looks promising. The important thing is that i imported my bookmarks easily, not really worried about sync yet :) i decided to try it mostly because of the speed and bc they said it was light with ram consumption
-
ToTheMax1288yI like it, because you can customize basically everything in it.
The tradeoff is the lack of a syncing function (although i was told to try out "xmarks", a plugin which does the job, but i didn't tried that out yet). The mentioned flickering bug occurs also on my machine, too. And, since the last release, threads of closed tabs are not being killed; they run forever (until you kill them manually :D). But i think, those problems are some "growing pains" and they will fix them. So, yes, i would recommend it. -
kazuzu308yI use it all the time. Very customizable when it comes to the browser UI. In fact, I learned keyboard shortcuts because of it.

@ToTheMax i haven't seen the flicker yet, but i did notice the threads (at least they close when i exit the browser, so i can deal with it for now :) ). They will sort it out probably, but even with this it's light on the resources and i would say that it is faster than chrome/firefox?

sambenge428yI liked it, but it unfortunately couldn't replace Chrome for me yet, although I can't really explain why. I loved the customisability, but it doesn't just feel 'complete' enough yet. 😂
