Of course you are right (your manager sucks😎 ). i dont mean forget django . i think we should be pro in one or two tech and say welcome to others . it helps you to choose best technology in different project especially when your position changed to project manager .

He signed up for Django why they f would a competent person put him to learn php IN HIS FIRST WEEK?? It's totally you're right to screw them over for this (ie quitting)
