@AnirudhKonduru well, for starters my boot time is faster by almost a minute from the previous one and a half minute in Ubuntu.

@mirnapls didn't like the wondows-esque desktop environment, plus there were some display driver issues that I couldnt fix

@shauryachats @jayMcD OK, you've convinced me. What desktop env do you recommend I go with? XFCE or KDE? Or install something else altogether?

@AnirudhKonduru XFCE has a very low memory usage, but I prefer GNOME since it's aesthetically much more pleasing.

Tried to switch to Manjaro from Ubuntu.
Everything good except ethernet not working.
3 hours wasted, updated the kernel, three network managers changed, realised that the ethernet wire was loose at the modem end.
FML.
