IntelliJ is a hog, and JetBrains are pretty sucky at fixing their bugs (see their issue tracker for more info). There's stuff in there that's pretty breaking, and that hasn't been fixed in *years*... Still, I agree that it's a powerful IDE, and I still use it almost daily (when I'm not using VS or VSC).

@gedankennebel I agree. and ReSharper is kind of a must-have if you're doing a lot of C# work.

Kyoton788yI first started on IntelliJ, but switched to Atom. I noticed IntelliJ was just so heavy, but it DID offer quite a nice list of things. (Wish it wasn't so damn expensive though)

stisch46038yBeen using Rider for C# lately and I have to say, it has some great advantages over VS. Having said that, it's clearly still in beta as lots of features still routinely crash, but I'm excited about it
