The other day I had literally nothing to do at work as I was waiting for some changes on the database so I said: “in the meantime I would like to get acquainted with Angular unit tests so I can go on with development “
My boss: “we have no time for tests “

Well I guess we will have more time for bugs then…

I once had tester say the exact same thing to me.
She doesn’t work for that company anymore…

I really hate this kind of company and it makes me sad that I've been at 4 companies like this, and 1 that was borderline.

Every single industry expert says testing improves speed and quality, every study I know of shows it, Microsoft and other big companies recommend it, every tech blob poster eventually mentions it, every tech conference talks about it. Still Bob the Manager can't wrap his fucking head around it.

I used to work for a company that focused mainly on app development, I was in the only web-app team there. All the C++ apps were tested there. Our team started to work on a really big project. PO & SM wanted us to test, dev team wanted to test besides the senior dev. So, what did we do? No tests whatsoever.

Almost all other devs left the company within the following 6 months.
