windows 11 UI is being hyped soo much it feels like microsoft just invented rounded corners

It's almost as pathetic as a man repeatedly overstating his girth.

Not even mad anymore, it's just sad.

I hope it's possible to turn off the rounded corners but somehow I doubt it'll be an option.

At least they removed Cortana from the task bar. But I doubt you'll be able to turn it back on if you'd like.

At least finally they’ve realized there are examples of nice looking os ui around there to copy…

Windows 11 is hyped?

What I hear is people with opinions between "I guess there's a few nice things", "I don't care at all" all the way to "over my dead body".

Maybe I live in a different bubble, but I would describe the interest as mild apathy rather than hype.

The day fully-featured Visual Studio is available on *nix is the day I leave Windows forever. I'm actually considering dual booting as is. Just gotta figure out how it would work my current drive structure

@Nanos Microsoft's idea is that you go to a store, and buy a laptop.

No DIY PC building. Preferably no pre-assembled OEM workstation either. Just get a Microsoft approved laptop.

If windows crashes to the point where it needs a fresh install, you toss it, and buy a new laptop.

Retail windows is too easy to pirate. Microsoft's anti-piracy policy went beyond DRM, to "If everyone just buys laptops, the Windows license is already included in the sticker price"

@rEaL-jAsE Yeah sorry to be the bringer of bad news, but computers will become like smartphones where you have to root it (if even possible) to choose a different OS, which will make you sign a disclaimer that it expires warranty.
