Don't you just love estimating the story points of a ticket that is completely irrelevant to your role. How do I estimate work that I have never done in my life? 🙄

Yep. Had the same issue before.

We stopped asking estimations from devs in different roles after a couple plannings like that, because it was useless.

How about getting marked for PR reviews in tech stack you don't know, because everyone is on vacay? And then obviously being scolded for holding up the process while you try to understand angular in one day 😈

Same same same same.. fucking shame.

I usually just say. I can't estimate work that someone else will do. And I can't estimate something I haven't done before. And also we have a rule. Any tickets that are more that 16 points are pushed back to the backlog and split into smaller tickets that can be estimated. So I just say it is 16 points. And I can look into it later to come up with manageable tickets.
