My organisation uses Jabber as their primary communication tool.

We use Skype For Business and Microsoft teams. It's also pretty bloody awful. I've semi-jokingly suggested Slack but I don't think it's going to happen somehow :-(

The dev team used to use Lync before Jabber was rolled out. Wasn't perfect but seems amazing compared to Jabber.

@Zaphod65 We use slack at my work. Its pretty great. We were using Skype for business and it was indeed fucking awful. And before that we were using something called ICQ which was even worse Lol

We were using Skype until recently we switched to Slack. Now i never start Skype anymore. Microsoft did really fuck up Skype since they bought it. Never delivered messages, missing attachments, random audio volume, bad transmission...

@gummy the never delivered messages are the fucking worst. Have to decide if you think they'll be online in the next minute, or if it would just be a damned email instead so you know they get it
