    Use OpenJDK instead.

    And yea, that is sooo 2 years ago.
    How did you make it this far without knowing Java fucked everything and everyone.

    Today pretty much everyone is developing on various distributions of OpenJDK, such as Amazon Corretto, so honestly, from dev point of view not a lot has changed.

    The communication of this was unfortunate though. There was thread after thread after thread of people worrying they would no longer be able to develop their products on newer versions of the JDK.

    But yeah, what was said above. You kinda have to live on the moon to have missed that as a Java developer, at least if you are working at an actual business.

    But yeah, you’re a few years late on that. Also, if you haven’t heard, the cake is a lie, there was a virus a couple of years ago, and Jesus died but he’s never gonna give you up.

    Yeah I'm not a Java dev, but I come across it sometimes. In this case a game required the proprietary version to be installed.
