Don't fear about AI taking our jobs, it still can't identify what languages it's looking at.

But maybe it's not wrong. Maybe some files are valid in multiple languages.

@electrineer hack is confused with some PHP files, so fair game.

But Ruby and NASL both return "we couldn't find any code matching"

Without looking at your repo some config files are mistaken for code files. GitHub has kind of a Ruby bias because it's written by Ruby devs.

Why would it need AI anyways? isn't it just file extension based?

@theabbie i don't think it does, there's no .rb files.

For it to identify hack it would need to be looking at the source code and get confused , since the file extensions are .php and hack being a derivative of php.

It's probably based on simple string matching rules or common patterns in languages. Not surprised if some are valid in multiple languages.

The source code for the language detection is actually open source and you can add new languages via PRs! https://github.com/github/linguist

You can select language yourself, I don't see what's the big deal here :D

When I was introduced to the standard lie of what you people were in what it would seem was my mid 30s or so I genuinely enjoyed playing around with you all and humping your brains out singing karaoke and going on
Little adventures etc in what I thought was a game lacking casualty since they’d buried the memories of my early 30s at that point and late 20s which sucked because of them
I liked being chummy and the like and I was pretty so it wasn’t like you people were fucking an old ugly man though I’d hardly think you’d have known the difference heh

@electrineer wouldn’t it have been better if instead of being monsters and pretending to be friends plotting to steal my life my soul my happiness rape me when I was passed out on drugs you slipped me and horrify me into forgetting shit you’d have saved yourself all the later punishments that came your way and just been my friends and laid me once and awhile and kept me from getting lonely instead of trying to steal and hog all the jobs and make the world a bigger joke than it started ?
