Rather than asking a question, write a rant with incorrect answer to your question baked in. It's a rule of the Internet that someone will correct you.

donuts236723yI think also because the questions are more general, advice related.
You're not posting code or logs. -
Because this is a small community.
Smaller communities have advantage of better culture/lifestyle/collaboration because no one competes for resources as they are available in plenty for all.
Hence, smaller communities thrive and grow.
However, when they grow, that's where the fuck up happens and everyone becomes greedy.
We wouldn't have survived the stone age is the population was so high. -
@Demolishun did someone say sarcasm?
In any case - SO is not for general discussion. It is for deep dive into a very specific topics. Here is more relaxed, and general discussion, where you can go off topic with no moderator to get on your case..... -
"forums like stack overflow" - there's the problem. You don't understand what SO even is. The consequence is that wou are likely to misuse it, which is what gets you into trouble.
SO is not a forum. SO is not a community. SO is not a helpdesk. -
@Fast-Nop You're 1/3 right
a) There's no "problem", I was just commenting on the differences. It wasn't even a direct SO complaint post
b) You're right, SO isn't a forum. They actively discourage discussion, except in their discussion rooms.
c) SO is a community and is frequently self-described as such -
Tonnoman6223yBut don't ask questions that could have been one search in your favourite search engine. That's just stupid
Meta post about why it's kinda nicer to ask questions here rather than on forums like stack overflow
The main reason you might get better feedback here is because nobody is competing for question answering points. Generally you don't get rewarded much, even if you get a few updoots. And certainly nobody is going through the questions and trying to answer as many as possible to look like the smartest asshole on the forum.
People just kinda chime in if they know the answer, and generally you'll find someone that knows a lot about what they're talking about.
It's much less like people are answering quickly as possible to meet an answering quota and earn badges.
