Looking a pr I found this piece of art in a css file:

width: 86.3624%;

Me: "something feels off about this."
Colleague: "Again with your readability bs?"
Me: *looks at the camera, perplexed* (The camera as in: I'm in a sitcom, not as pair programming)

    Pixel Perfect design, or someone got skrewy with the margins.

    @C0D4 % unit isn't in a bit considered absolute (pixel perfect)

    Floating point units for something like this is yet another dog shit fed by "guru" designers that aren't in touch with conventions and particularly right trends.

    @vintprox moving floats around for someone anal on printing the damn page and grabbing a ruler.... but I suppose that's print perfect not pixel perfect...

    The only thing to top this is when someone tries to use .X of a PX aha

    @C0D4 You may be onto something here, but... printing??? Spare me a laugh 😂 Yow, printing layouts are *so* absolute and physical/canonical, it's barely coming to such relativeness and vagueness as this "86.3624%" value.

    @vintprox as funny as it sounds, I wish I was joking 😢

    Now to go grab some rum before suppresses memories resurface.

    @vintprox Maybe we should use mm instead? Would help all these people when printing

    @HighTurtleDev I mean sure! There are "@media print" and "media=print", everything's at disposal. It's just that many won't even remotely consider there would be printer users on their website/app.

    86.3624% could still be de facto absolute if it is in a parent which has absolute size.

    Nah, just needs 2 more session at the therapist, we’re cool here! @Crost

    In my case: No printing, all web 😎 @COD4

    No absolute parents, that’s for nerds 🤓@Lensflare

    I think you guys just don’t appreciate css art, I’ll get my [not having a single fucking variable for colors because I am working with apes who undo all my attempts to unfuck this shit] and show it to real art critiques
