@priyanshu-zeon it used to be a thing, and possibly still is in some parts of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if it's even common for parents to slap their children somewhere.
-
atheist93263yHow long have you got? I mean, a (simple) content management service for educational material would work. The original wiki was about 50 lines of code

Simplistic WYSIWYM Markdown editor for textbooks, with export to HTML and publishing to GitHub Pages (or better yet - that sets up Git push hook for this task, so no vendor lock-in).
-
@vintprox your mean teachers can write book content on my potential markdown editor and export them as HTML and publish them on to the github pages and what to do with github push hook can you explain?
-
@priyanshu-zeon HTML is so flexible, anyone can set up printing to their preference. And Markdown/CommonMark is just that format you can open basically anywhere and edit: Notepad, VSCode, any IDE, GitHub.
-
@vintprox what do you mean by git push hook and "so no vendor lock-in" I won't get it?
-
@priyanshu-zeon I think, at this point, it's too advanced for a mere hackaton. Git "push" hook is the script that's executed when someone pushes the changes to upstream. What this means is, when someone with Git on their device commits a change and pushes it to the remote repository, terminal/remote runs a publishing process.
This hassle can be simplified by avoiding git hooks all along! Just let people do the *manual* export to standalone HTML and complete HTML-in-ZIP. And of course let them save project in a collection of CommonMark/Markdown files. -
@priyanshu-zeon I can assist in your beginnings there: https://devrant.com/collabs/... Just join the server and DM me.

Tonnoman6273y@aviophile @electrineer a game where you have to hit slingshot projectiles back at students with a stick baseball style
-
Tonnoman6273y@priyanshu-zeon a teacher (can be first person perspective, though a side view would allow for a 2d environment so that'd be much easier in all likelyhood) sits in a classroom, bunch of students throw stuff like little paper props or whatever, and you have to hit them back to them. Can be about timing the hit and/or about moving the bat up and down.
PS
This was a joke, but if you'd like to make it I wouldn't mind lol -

I have an Idea, How about a invite-only microblog platform for teachers. -
@atheist It is a beginner-friendly heck what do you think is this project had some potential?
-
atheist93263y@priyanshu-zeon I know, exactly! Why I suggested making a wiki. I did a messenger app as a uni project.
