I have just thought of the perfect solution when support for fucking ancient IE versions creaps in the requirements (and asking the assholes to produce numbers to support the crazy does not help)

Just do browser detection and if IE < 9 Replace body with one of those winXP alert boxes that tell them there Computer is infected and that they can get a free scan (it's what they are used to anyway). Put a link to the installer of your favourite browser over the entire image.😎

Good news is 100â„… code reuse! Works on every outdated IE and every website that requires IE support.

I guess if I would implement something like that, I could just quit my job as well, because I definetly get fired if I would implement this 😅

Strength trough unity, they can't afford to pay off all the good developers!

Besides who is going to notice? May need to "fix" some automated tests. And the moron than made the ie7 requirement because he still can't quite let go of XP at home is never going to be able to visit the site cause of a lack of SNI support on his system.

Yeah there is some room for improvement. The blue window decoration is a must, should have a green to red colouring countdown timer.
After some thorough bughunting we might be able to find a way to simply install the new browser without the users consent and change all IE shortcuts to start our shiny browser.
