    @oxkipo you're not helping anyone

@px06 I don't use any paid editors but why isn't he helping anyone?
  • 1
@oxkipo Yeah i find the price high. I'm willing to pay for it as long as it's open but otherwise nahh

@linuxxx being a developer i believe in supporting other devs so i discourage cracking tools that someone spent their time developing. I like to be rewarded, as do others i presume. I look for free alternatives if there is ridiculous pricing.

@px06 Well being a developer i agree with you on most parts. I just think that opening up the code makes that we can keep innovating and making software better while keeping it closed prevents that partly (not saying free, only saying open). But that's just my opinion :)

@linuxxx I'm all for open source, and i do discourage companies to keep their code closed like what Microsoft have been doing for years and let's not even get into Apple. But in the recent years Microsoft have opened up alot and made alot of their development open which is what has attracted me to the company. I still don't think that cracking is justified by anything, if you're not comfortable with it use something else unless you have no choice.

I gladly paid for my Jetbrains DataGrip license ($89) because it was the cheapest PL/SQL IDE and the best one...I will gladly pay for PHPStorm when I start my PHP project...

@px06 I entirely get your point. I recently switched from PHPStorm to Netbeans because of open sourceness and tbh I'm not regretting it
  • 1
@linuxxx uhh netbeans, i have so many qualms about it but if it doesn't interfere with your workflow and you're not regretting it then there's nothing that should stop you!

@px06 I fucking love it tbh. It just works. I don't get what everyone dislikes about it but ye everyone their own right!

But you sill have that cracked sublime license so your ctrl+s combo doesnt annoy you anymore right? 😜
  • 2
@klemenkeko I did stop that, realizing that I'm joking myself and not contributing to the developer. And now I'm not annoyed of that pop up. Promising myself will bought my license in the future and be proud doing so.

@saiphp hehe, one question, did you try visual code?
  • 0
@klemenkeko yes but stop at the middle of configuration. Maybe will try that again in a couple of months.
  • 0
@saiphp I like it very much but I didn't program PHP in it.

@klemenkeko hmmm i will give it a try later. Hope there is a lint for php.
