Anti Rant: Is it just me or are Google Play app updates rolling out really fast... Like i have published some updates recently and they have been live in under 10 mins.

Looks like Google got their act together!

Good on them! Yeah, Google are really picking up in all fields of technology recently

As far as I know you have to get every update hand reviewed from Apple, so that could take an extra while

I think it depends on your history as a publisher. Some get approved faster than others.

Same here. Used to take about 6 hours earlier.

It never took more than an hour for me. Publishing new app takes a while tho.
I do remember those times when you would push the update in night and it would roll out next morning.

@MaccaMc but in an automatic way I guess. There is no way that someone can review the app in 10min in a proper way

@Kimmax I think for updates it depends on the permissions you have requested, if it's basic ones like internet then it's likely automatic. But a real person definitely does review atleast new submissions as i have had denials because of copyright infringement from a real person.

Where as here I am with a heroku app that takes >1min to deploy :)

@Kimmax, there is people testing stuff too. But they have lots of automated tests and the actual human testers only check the apps if there is a Red flag that needs attention.
