Prof offers a VR project to us:

Prof: Lets do something nice using VR
Us: Sounds interesting. Will we get VR glasses to test at home?
Prof: No.
Us: Can we use the VRs of the university?
Prof: There are no available.
Us: Will there be additional ones?
Prof: No.

WHY DO YOU OFFER A VR PROJECT BUT THERE IS AND WILL BE NO HARDWARE??? SORRY, BUT MY OWN GLASSES HAVE NO VR FUNCTION!!

    For starting learning vr, you could use glasses that work with your phone

    Had the same thing happen with a project I volunteered for, this wanted us to make an augment reality app similar to Pokemon in a sense.

    I developed something decent but without a phone to test it, I couldn't find out what bugs I had.

    I ask the guy who started this project if I could maybe borrow a phone, he said sure, and then never ever got back to me.

    I ain't gonna steal your phone but I can't do anything without one :/

    Not everyone's phone has VR capabilities though

    @shrike Practically everything supports Cardboard.

    @osmarks not if the phone doesn't have a gyroscope. Cheaper ones don't - heck, my new phone is my first that has one.
