I never appreciated HOME and END buttons as much as I do since I started coding.

Try doing it on a laptop with no actual home/end key...

@digital216 they're not part of the arrow keys? Like pushing Fn + left arrow is Home and pushing right is End?

This is 100% what kept me from switching to the Chromebook I bought for development. It's so frustrating to have to use a fn combo for something so essential.

Connect another keyboard via usb/ Bluetooth, get a desktop, or build it from scratch. Not everything can be built to everyone's specification :p

I started appreciating them when I changed to Mac and now I never remember what combination of fn, ctrl, cmd or whatever key plus the arrows is the equivalent one ><

My current laptop has home and end but the insert is with fn combination 😢

Hardest part of having to switch to being an iOS dev. Switching to using cmd-arrow on the mac.

@ScribeOfGoD not on mine, I have page up and down, but no home/end...Didn't think about it when I purchased it or that would've been a deal breaker

A solution to those who don't have home and end buttons. vim keyboard bindings are 'I' to insert at the beginning of the line and 'A' to append to the end of the line.

I don't have end and home but I don't mind since I use vim!

What are they good for? How do you use them?

You can go to the home (beginning) of a line... Or the end of a line..

@ScribeOfGoD merci. Tested that. It's great will use it often now.
