I applied for an internal position within my company and spoke to the hiring manager.

She gave me extremely strong narcissistic vibes and something within me is screaming to stay the fuck away from that job.

What should I do? The opportunity is masssive with lots of learning accompanied by stress because it is a complete domain change (moving from B2B to B2C)?

    Ight an update.

We had to drop our call in between because she had some other meeting and we reconnected again.

She showed me the entire roadmap and how fucking massive it was.

She is like, 'the person joining in won't have time to ramp up and will have to drive things at full velocity and then if you are blocked because of dependent teams, I'll put you in other pods.'

BIG FUCKING NO from my side. I'll go through the interview hoops but not joining in there.

B2C is a but fuck, unless you're trying to move into a retail world.

B2B is hard, and boring, but solid work.

Take it from a guy in the B2B2C world and everything in between 🤪

Besides this manager seems like the scary type that won't just throw you under the bus, but drive the thing right over you too.

What I’ve learned over the years is that I need to trust my gut instinct. I would suggest stay away unless you can execute plan B when the shit hits the fan. If there’s no Plan B I’d stay away from it.
