Me: *uploads pre-alpha images of game demo to twitter*

User: "That's a game? It looks like shit."

Me: "I was just showing off a test."

User: "No, like your entire game is garbage."

Me: "Okay? Don't play it."

User: "Also hacking is illegal, so you shouldn't be advertising it in your garbage game."

Me: *explodes into barely readable rant* 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

    In these cases just answer 'ok.', you wouldn't believe how efficient and relieving it is

    @Noob Exactly.

    @Cyanite When I was only starting with Java I created a simple 2D space shooter. I had a guy argue with me that it's not polished enough. I told him that I only made it that day. He said that it sucks because it eats too much memory.
    It was using about 10mb of ram.

    @Cyanite Imo best is to not show pre-release or pre-beta stuff at all to ppl. Ppl are assholes and can sometimes influence the development process with bad comments or make you as a dev feel bad...
    My boss used to tell me, we should not show the work-in-progress websites to the designers, until the frontend is fully finished because otherwise they start to list every wrong styling they see and the discussions start...
    Keep up the motivation and stay true to your ideas! I think it is not needed to leak stuff too soon. Ppl never really learned to be patient until release, so better don't publish stuff too long before release ;) (just my opinion)

    @qbasic16
    Technically the game is released. I just don't consider it playable yet, and you can only get it on GitHub (It is Open-Source after all) opposed to a website like http://itch.io for example.

    And I like leaking. I have yet to get any negative feedback, and it's been building alot of hype. ^~^

    @Cyanite Got to love the "this is garbage" comments of people, their feedback says a lot about themselves. Pretty much that they are as useless as their feedback.

    Don't get bothered by them. They are not worth the effort ;)

    I've been keeping track of the posts but haven't had the time to try it out due to work and personal projects. Once I do I'll let you know but so far the idea has been cool.
