To be fair, my great grandpa was worked to death on the Eastern front rather than gassed and great grandma survived in hiding, so my opinion might not be relevant.

I am of the opinion that jokes about tragedies are both a healthy coping mechanism and a way of keeping the memory alive. There are bad Holocaust jokes, but they aren't bad because they're Holocaust jokes. They're mostly bad because they're implying that it was okay.
