I had to do it. I get distracted too easily...

    Well, that centered big yellow note distracts you from the most important things on your screen, which are positioned on the far far left and far far right... Or it is to remind you to return to the sides when you start staring at the blank and empty center...

    I just always use multiple 19" 1280×1024 LCDs. Cheap and effective.

    I need this sign.

    all that blank screen space is somehow sad, i dunno why

    I tried that once. Probably spent more time writing clever post its than actually doing work

    Nice fish-eye lens!

    @Or13N and who gets it done?

    That IDE window begs to be paired with another window. Widescreen monitors are great for split views.

    My favorite setup is 3 (cheap) screens in a row, with split left/right windows: console, code editor, DB query app, browser, planning/communication tools, github/bitbucket repo pages.

    Anyone else hate the dark theme in Xcode?

    @kaqqao The monitor looks bent because I used my wide angle camera to capture the massive 34" 21:9 monitor.

    @Hobo42 yeah I only had a whiteboard marker around. Besides that would defeat the point if I went looking for a new pen and didn't do work.

    @Ceaser I'm dyslexic so the dark theme helps. I read white in black better than black on white so the midnight or Dracula themes are great for my dyslexia.

    @gitpush I'm in process of migrating away from Xcode to AppCode. Recently started using AsyncDisplayKit so I have no need for storyboards anymore thus I have no ties to Xcode anymore.

    @Tommathy how good is ASDKit?
    I am about to leave now so read it quickly to see it, do you recommend it over storyboard design?
  • 0
    @gitpush I certainly recommend it. It has a big learning curve but once you get it, it's really simple. I've notice one or two bugs like secure text entry doesn't seem to work for me but Pinterest have just taken over the repo and renamed it Texture so we should see some rapid development and sort them out.
