    @dfox yeah that would be great!

    @linuxer4fun but it's so small already? How big is ur HD?

    @billgates it's just a flag in the android manifest so it's not a big deal and regardless of the size people should be able to do what they want...

    @linuxer4fun if you're rooted you can download apps to force move to SD or you can edit the devRant apk to add the allow move to SD card flag.

    @Bikonja good luck telling that to Apple :)

    @billgates oh, fuck, forgot about Apple... Also, fuck Apple :D
    Don't know a thing about Apple so can't comment on that...

    @Bikonja if you run Cyanogen mod (idk about other variants of android) you can disable the check in the Dev options and move anything over

    @runfrodorun or have a phone with a 64gb hd

    I wonder if appcelerator supports android manifest 😂😂

    I see the flag that has to be added, but does anyone know if there are any possible side effects from adding it?

    We do have to be careful when modifying the Android app because unlike iOS I'm not as familiar with Android.

    If there aren't any possible issues form doing it then we should be able to release that soon.

    @dfox how come you're more familiar with iOS? Their dev license is 90$... per year... Android's like $40, one time.

    @billgates I'm just much more familiar with iOS since it's what I've used for a long time.

    @billgates 4gb minus bloatware

    @Bikonja im not an android dev!

    @dfox as far as I know the only reason it's a flag is because when the card was unmounted for purposes of connecting to PC it would stop the app which meant widgets would stop working and since some apps rely heavily on their widgets and/or being always on (which they can't be fully if the storage they are on is unmounted). But for devRant I don't see an issue with that.

    @billgates yay, fellow OPO user!

    @linuxer4fun ouch... y so small? 4gb for a smartphone is basically unusable?
  • 1
    @linuxer4fun I'm not either... Well at least not much, (my apps look don't look pretty but they work), but I guess I'm a control freak... I root... and also jailbroke but got tired of always dodging the Apple cops.

    @dfox it wont be a problem. When sd card is unmounted, some people may nag that devrant has disappeared, but i am sure people here wont. (hey, how about making a public beta version for devrant? Just for some production tests...)

    @dfox @CozyPlanes Google play has a beta thingy. Would be real nice if you used that so we can find bugs before widespread rollout :)
