Besides the obvious inacceptable result for a "professional" company, the technician must be a wizard, RJ45 plugs don't fit on installation cables, the cables are way too thick.
I thought about a similar approach for all the network cables ending in the basement to directly connect them to a network-switch as needed. But no chance pushing the cable into the plug to crimp it, I had to use a patch-panel.

@ddephor It is Cat 5e cable. The funny thing is that cable should end in wall socket but guy did not know how to connect cable to ethernet wall socket so he done that in this awful way.

Ah, I see, a chicken and egg problem. He would have needed internet to google how to connect the socket to connect you to the internet. Without internet he cannot connect you to the internet... :-)
