@soull00t Always have evidence to back up your position later when the blame game starts. Expect the "guilty" side to be lying through their teeth at that point. Stack your game up before anyone notices that it is about to even begin.

Golden rule: "Wer schreibt, der bleibt." (Who has written will stay.)

Anytime users say things like "We'll never want that feature" and "Don't worry, we'll always do it this way"
    Document, document, and document.

100% guaranteed I would get an email/phone call "Where is feature X!? It's supposed to be there!" and I would happily/gleefully pull up the docs.

    Yes, many, many many times.

Get a clear and straigh forward request from the client to do stuff in written form. If it's not clear -- reply to the client explaining how you understood the request [with details] and ask if your understanding is correct. Proceed to implement ONLY after a positive reply to that qn.

If an argument comes up, you have a confirmation email from them.

If that's not what you're asking you should give more context

I worked as a consultant and my that time client was breaking GDPR. I pointed it out to them in written form, they buffed that it doesn't apply to them (like hell).

Contacted my employer in written for that the client does this, what do I do. They were cunts about it and "just go along with it".

In the end I contacted my union lawyer if this can in any way come back and hit me. Followed his advice.

Needless to say that I am no longer working for this employer. Fuck companies supporting illegal actions.

I should've reported the client to the authorities...
