One thing I learned over my few work years is:

1.Never do anything for free.

2.Be irreplaceable however you can.

3.Most managers ain't shit so don't play nice and end up getting stomped.

    2. And that is how you force yourself to work ALL THE TIME. No vacation, no real weekends, you have to be reachable 24/7/365.
