You are right. And it isn't even one of these google translate Chinese->English translations.

That is incredibly clear instructions to see on a software like that, considering how crappy the guides on most professional software are.
Maybe someone should hire this guy, you know. πŸ˜„

@lorki97 @dreik @jlave215 @penguin And they are also giving away free keys to poor people after 6 months! πŸ˜‚ And also provided links to what is Bitcoin and how to buy some...

@TheBinaryGuy and I can't help but notice how reassuring the tone of the writing is.

People who made that were idiots and could have done a lot more damage:

-they only made about $55,000 USD (only ~400 people paid by my calculations)
-they hardcoded bitcoin addresses, this making the money trackable
-the payment handling was shit. People who paid didn't always get their pc unlocked
-they had a hard-coded kill switch that two people (in separate instances) found and stopped it spreading by registering a ~$10 domain

Yeah but the difference is that at the point of time where you need troubleshooting instructiond you already paid for the product. Here you haven't paid (yet), so they make it as easy and understandable so they get their money.

Always write documentation as if you will be paid by everyone who understands it
