Bloody shit, I hate all the hypes right now.

Seemingly everyone is going from 0 to zealous hype at the moment...

Be it Musk's fanboys (that arsehole must have a prolapse), the mfucking GPT chatbot or anything else.

Everything's hyped up and noone talks about normal stuff...

... and when you point that out, everyone gets angry for reasons I cannot understand.

We had so many good inventions and progress in science this year (despite the world being pretty apocalyptic....), but seemingly everyone can only talk about either Twitter or their Twitter timeline. -.-

The Christmas bullshitting was hard enough each year, as it has nothing to do with being a festive event and love etc, but being just an commercial bullshit bingo...

But adding all the hypes makes the bullshit parade unbearable.

Dear Santa, please fry all the mobile electronics at Christmas, so we can talk about normal stuff and have a nice evening.

... Would be probably even better to just fry all electronics, even stone age was probably more interesting than the earbleeding conversations at the moment.

Why do you keep talking about that twitty thing, I thought it died already.

@electrineer if it was dead, why do I hear about it every mfucking day...

I don't have an twitter account, but I'm tired of hearing the same shit over and over.

Note that it's not just Twitter... Chatbot, AI, saving energy, gas prices... All the topics right now run seemingly in an endless loop.

@C0D4 currently I love only cooking.

Way too much delivery crap this month, too much work.

Made some lovely selfmade pasta with champignons and meatballs today.

Maybe I have another try at doing some sport tomorrow...

I cannot decide if we are witnessing the end of western civilization or the birthing of something better. People literally almost killing each other over pronouns. It is disgusting.

i agree. Ive been thinking of leaving thr plattform because of it. At the start i joined the windows ranting etc a bit.

But i have realised everyone is the talking abt the same shit over an over.

That chatgpt thing and ppl talking abt elon just so monotone and not fullfilling at all

Its been like that on 9gag. I used to open it and see all the shitty reposts feel bad cuz they sucked and then i left it

@IntrusionCM it's been a long time since I've made pasta from scratch, nothin quite like it.

    @Demolishun
I'm enjoying my Christmas leave, now I'm stuck with the kids for a month, I didn't think that through 😅

Kids are currently playing bratz, I'll take minecraft over this BS any day.

' You trying to avoid some filter or you just that South Park teacher? Mkay?

Agreed. Hype is shit. Reasonable interest is okay, but "THIS WILL REVOLUTIONIZE THE WORLD" is stupid as fuck

Lately I feel like YouTube is unwatchable because of this. Worst part is, It's a jail of our own creation. The more of this shit we clicked in the past, the more they feed it to us now. Same Reason I could never bear twooter for more than 2 weeks. Just the concept of subscribing builds an echochamber around you. Hate it.

Im actually avoiding news as well, It's all too depressing. Instead im focusing on my hobbies. Trying to do more game dev and get better at cooking. I also used to go out and just walk around town before covid hit. Maybe I can get back into that again. I really love just observing people and places outside. Especially when you see someone genuinely enjoying themselves, playing with kids, working on something, reading, shopping... The body language of those people is beautiful in those moments. I wish we could all be like that all the time. Fulfilled...

Play some indie games and ignore the hype. A lot of the common hyping isn't even actual hype but "native" advertising. And the news are always all doom and gloom as that is what generates the most ad revenue for some reason. Just don't watch em if you don't like em. Consume selected blogs and podcasts instead. On Youtube, having an account actually helps a bit with the hype as the algortihm will definitely give you less of the stuff you don't watch till the middle.

@Oktokolo yeah... Except that the largest flood stems from work.

That was my primary reason for the rant... I can escape out of work, but in any meeting comes some shit up.

    It's gotten out of hand.

@IntrusionCM Try to shape the socializing meetings by introducing your own topics. Sometimes it works. Or pull em back to work topics if there are any...

@Hazarth subscriptionis okay as long as it stays independent and not morphing into anything more. Like an RSS

Haha! I can already hear Santa coming down your chimneys right now with a big-ass electromagnet and a shit-eating evil grin.

Only thing else I read about is the fusion experiment that finally produces more energy than was put in. (And is not a massive chain reaction that basically only serves a purpose of blowing city's up)
