I'm the only one here who cares little about hardware?
I hear people (even non IT ones) spending months in comparing computers and reading any technical spec (cache size, RAM frequency...) before buying one while I just give a glance to the main specs (CPU, RAM, GPU) and if they're decent enough and I like the price I buy, once I even bought a laptop while half drunk and I haven't regretted the purchase.

    i guess it depends.
There are devs, who just buy a macbook and call it a day.

I do buy my hardware tailored to my use case. because at the end of the day the cash i save, i can use for other cool shit.

I used to love studying specs and researching the numbers and all that good stuff.

But I built my workhorse computer in 2012 when I was much younger and had far less responsibility and far more time. It’s getting time to upgrade and I’m dreading that weeklong trek through reviews and spec sheets.

But I refuse to trust a prebuilt.
