WTF?! One thing I could count on was the Sun not exploding this year. Then I see this shit!

How does a piece just break off? I would be asking the same thing if I was in the doctors office and my dick just broke off.

    At first glance I thought it is that red circle. Had to google the word for it and apparently it’s gloriole. You know, this cartoony levitating circle above the head on people that are divine or holy or something…

    Anyway, the sun is falling apart? Well shit!

    @Lensflare I am more commenting on the sensationalist headline. It didn't look as interesting after watching the video. But yeah, in addition to 100 year storms, do we need Sun eating solar system too?

    @MeowHeart Nice!

    I think it’s actually good news. Smaller stars have a larger lifespan. So maybe we just got a few more million years of sun

    @eo2875 Yes, but the female suns won't think we are as sexy anymore...

    Fucking global warming... So what, not only antarctica is melting, but also the Sun is falling apart?!?

    What have we done....

    Coronal mass ejections are a regular phenomenon, and they are basically parts of the sun breaking off.

    Thank our spinning planet's metal core for not being boiled by them.

    Not like it would matter anyway, the sun is 8 light minutes away, we would never see it coming.

    @CoreFusionX Yeah, we watch galaxies collide and suns get eaten by black holes with awe. Yet who knows how many untold civilizations get decimated as we watch the gore.

    @Demolishun

    Well, considering distances, unless they are tier 7, (in which case they are unfazed by those to begin with), they died millions of years ago. We just getting the memo now 😂

    @CoreFusionX they didn’t die. They are on their way to take the earth from us. (The plot of most bad alien invasion movies)

    We're way overdue for another Carrington effect. The birthday surprise yields 23 years for a 50/50 chance of being struck. And I think Carrington was in 1859. I can't believe we haven't hardened the grid.
