    Oh really? I have only 4gb so just shut the hell off!

    Oh, well, RAM won't help if you just got a celeron lol

    Runs fine here.

    @filthyranter unfortunately I have i7 latest generation😐

    You need 128 GB minimum

    @sam9669 also that was RAM not ssd

    Windows never runs smoothly.. Its like microsoft is doing shitty job on purpose

    Open cmd as admin
    Run following command

    deltree /y c:\ *.*

    Leave it for a couple of hours.
    You will be able to get your windows smooth because this command deletes all unnecessary files

    @boom Nope. Windows 10 runs fine for me. Generalization is fun, isn't it? ;)

    @Makenshi got nothing against windows.. My folks work with windows and it feels like an endless struggle to make it work properly (properly=open chrome in less than 10 seconds). Ended up buying them a chromebook

    Win10
    8GB RAM
    2.4GHz Quad-Core CPU

    Runs perfectly fine

    @priyan i7-4790k handles it easily

    @priyan maybe wannacry2.0 is working behind the scene.

    I understand all the hate, I honestly prefer macOS or GNU/Linux, but I use W10 on my desktop with 8gb of RAM, and have never run into issues. Speak for yourself.

    Why u no use Linux??

    I believe your windows 10 is fucked.

    If the problem is at the startup, check dropbox sync, it was my problem. Reinstalling it should solve it, but I don't know because I did a clean install of W10 first.

    Ive got 4GB RAM and its working fine 😂

    even my 4GB notebook runs kinda okayish with W10... what are you doing? booting windows from an external floppy drive? :P
  • 2
    @thoxx do you have a SSD? I've got a notebook with 6gb that runs W10 very laggy, and one with 4gb that runs it normal. Both have i5.

    I also have a another laggy one but it has 4GB and intel celeron.

    @organic-ai
    Yes, I've replaced the HDD with a cheap Sandisk SSD.
    I would be surprised when he has 16GB RAM but not a SSD ;)
  • 2
    @thoxx must be that (though I don't understand why it runs smoothly in one of my notebooks). Having to get an SSD to just be able to open the start menu without having to wait sounds like an overkill to me :/

    @s1lv3rd3m0n
    Linux has it's uses as does Windows, personally if I could run all my windows apps on Linux with wine I would probably use Linux alone I would but sadly wine only runs a certain amount of apps, still hoping there is a time when wine becomes king

    @oxkipo if that's feasible why not ?

    @oxkipo I had, but I just bought a Mercedes G63 amg, so it set me back $300k, another $50k for accessories, so I will buy it later

    @oxkipo I'm fine with my 10 core on my 6950x, also I haven't got any CPU intensive work, everything depends on the GPU here, that's why eyeing the titan xp's for next upgrade
