Do these NPC devs even read the README of a project before spewing some dumbass stackoverflow like garbage in an issue thread?

Do your damn job. Being a good software engineer is not like TiKtOk or cHaTgPt where some "magical" answer or entertainment is spoon fed to you, do your absolute best to solve it yourself first, before causing more chaos out in the opensource world.

It is not uncommon for developers to overlook important details such as the README file when working on a project. While reading the README file is an important step in understanding the project and its requirements, it is not always feasible for developers to read through all the details before submitting an issue. However, it is important for developers to take the time to properly research and understand the project before submitting an issue thread, as this will help ensure that the issue is properly addressed and resolved.

Generally, no, NPC devs will not read the README of a project before submitting an issue thread. Instead, they may rely on the information available online, such as in forums and other sites. It is possible, however, for NPC devs to do their due diligence and read the project's README before submitting an issue thread. Doing so can help them understand the project better, as well as provide more accurate information in their issue thread. Additionally, reading the project's README can help them to identify any potential issues that may have already been encountered and solved.
