Well on the other hand windows is mostly garbage for development, so that sucks

@Makenshi I read it more as a if you post something broken on Windows you get ++.
If you something wrong on your UNIX-like you have comments telling you to go to SO or someone trying to help you.
Some prefer fame over getting help.

@vringar That's one side. I was referring to the "omg Windows is a playmobile os. It suxxxx soo much!" that you read here constantly.

Unfortunally devRant has got it fair share of os elitist now. It's really annoying as the rants regarding this are not funny and are based on some kind of ignorance or elitism on part of the poster.

It really downgrades this place imo.

@Makenshi I started using linux like year and half ago. Before that I used to be solely on windows using visual studio. I got a job in a company which developed on mac for linux. They let me to move to linux at work eventually. Was programming for windows since win 95. So I really cant say I dont have experience with windows.

Windows circlejerk? Here? Never seen it. Honestly I dislike circlejerks on any matter. It's especially bad when people complain about something they don't understand. Windows is for the most part a consumer os. Because of this it has a different philosophy and concepts. Not all of them are bad.

@Jop- Thank you. Most posts 'hating' on windows get downvoted but hating on Linux seems to be fine as those get upvoted quickly ime.

I wish i had the guts to use linux, can't leave the comforts of using windows.
