Why are we always pictured as either too fat or too skinny guys?

    Simply because most people need to categories others to feel a bit better about themselves, it is one way to avoid the real problems that people who make those assumptions have.

    I think it had has it's truth from somewhere. At my job, i am the only fit developer, and I bodybuild and have done it for 9 years. The rest have never touched a weight nor does anything to keep active..

    I don't know. I've seen only a few too-thin coworkers. Everyone else is either fat or runs marathons.

    My genetics gives me a pretty good metabolism rate, without needing to do much, in saying that I do need to exercise more lol

    I also walk 20 minutes to and from work to the nearest bus station.

    @drmirk I'm your height and I'm 50kg. Should I kill myself?

    @bendr well yeah I don't, I do eat healthy and drink plenty of water, I want to get back into running but atm it's way too dark when I get home, which will change in two weeks when I leave my job

    @bendr ah okay well for me since I moved I haven't really gone running mostly because there are two main roads where I live and I don't really want to get run over lol, my old house wasn't as busy and I'd be able to variations of 2.5km to 3.5km and even more, I slowly worked my way up to 2.5km in less than 20 minutes then we moved :/

    But that's good that you're getting definition in your arms, I had the same with my legs but that's long gone now lol, I have to work out where I can go for a run without the risk of traffic but I'd rather it be close to home. Which can't do much with my situation :/

    Oh wow Endomondo (app I use for running) says I did 2.8km in 19 mins at one point lol wow

    My brother had the same thing about self esteem but honestly I just ran because I found it fun, I made a playlist specifically for running which, when I started listening to it actually made me run a bit faster, I guess if you really want to avoid people find out the time people aren't out.

    @starless @f03n1x don't run on roads as they don't provide shock absorption.. run on ground or on treadmill if you have it.

    @revic1993 I run on pavement whenever I can, when I was running before that's all I used, I just say roads as in the roads near me are busy, they do have pavement though.

    Oh and my house is so tiny I couldn't fit a treadmill, it'd have to go on the driveway LOL

    @revic1993 don't worry about me hurting myself from running. I find it much too boring.

    Lately, I've been getting my exercise by swimming with a drunk-purchased novelty mermaid tail and mono fin flipper set.

    @starless lol at least it isn't going to waste

    @revic1993 dead fish at the beach are more of my issue... No convenient public pools, at least five good, close public beaches. Living in lake country is weird sometimes.

    @starless yeah well you should be in good shape i guess. Continue swimming and help break the stereotype
