My gym decided to adopt a fitness app so members could sign up for classes. Their onboarding was terrible (to be nice about it). I really hate when businesses don’t understand the technology they want to use.
Me: I downloaded the app, but all the classes say to call the gym.
Gym: Are you using the email that’s on file for your apartment?
Me: Yes, I am because I read the gym’s instructions for using the app.
Me: I think the issue is I had an existing account on the app before the gym decided to use the app for its business.
Gym: Then that’s the problem. Delete your account and sign up for a new one.
Me: WTF 🤬 I am not deleting an account that I’ve had FOR YEARS just because you can’t figure out technical issues with the vendor. How did it never occur to you that gym members might already have accounts for a fitness app that’s been around for years and used by other businesses? Besides, this app doesn’t let users delete accounts from the app so I don’t know where you’re coming from with telling me to delete my account.

Had this idea that if there were subtle correlations between a sufficiently large set of identities and the digits of a prime number, the best way to find it would be to automate the search.
And thats just what I did.
I started with trace matrices.
I actually didn't expect much of it. I was hoping I'd at least get lucky with a few chance coincidences.
My first tests failed miserably. Eight percent here, 10% there. "I might as well just pick a number out of a hat!" I thought.
I scaled it way back and asked if it was possible to predict *just* the first digit of either of the prime factors.
That also failed. Prediction rates were low still. Like 0.08-0.15.
So I automated *that*.
After a couple days of on-and-off again semi-automated searching I stumbled on it.
[1144, 827, 326, 1184, -1, -1, -1, -1]
That little sequence is a series of identities representing different values derived from a randomly generated product.
Each slots into a trace matrice. The results of which predict the first digit of one of our factors, with a 83.2% accuracy even after 10k runs, and rising higher with the number of trials.
It's not much, but I was kind of proud of it.
I'm pushing for finding 90%+ now.
Some improvements include using a different sort of operation to generate results. Or logging all results and finding the digit within each result thats *most* likely to predict our targets, across all results. (right now I just take the digit in the ones column, which works but is an arbitrary decision on my part).
Theres also the fact that it's trivial to correctly guess the digit 25% of the time, simply by guessing 1, 3, 7, or 9, because all primes, except for 2, end in one of these four.
I have also yet to find a trace with a specific bias for predicting either the smaller of two unique factors *or* the larger. But I haven't really looked for one either.
I still need to write a generate that takes specific traces, and lets me mutate some of the values, to push them towards certain 'fitness' levels.
This would be useful not just for very high predictions, but to find traces with very *low* predictions.
Why? Because it would actually allow for the *elimination* of possible digits, much like sudoku, from a given place value in a predicted factor.
I don't know if any of this will even end up working past the first digit. But splitting the odds, between the two unique factors of a prime product, and getting 40+% chance of guessing correctly, isn't too bad I think for a total amateur.
Far cry from a couple years ago claiming I broke prime factorization. People still haven't forgiven me for that, lol.6
yesterday i completed around 5 months of working out 5 days/week. this has been incredibly hard as i never worked out for more than 2 days in my 24 years on earth.
but i took a pic of mine in the mirror and my fat belly gave me the most depressing sight to see and question whether it was worth the effort.
i mean, surely i can do 50+ pushups now and have started seeing a few changes in shoulder/ chest area, and a few friends/collegues have appreciated my working out habit , but not getting out the only area that i want to go away, this sucks :/
tbh my plan was to see where this experiment of creating a new hobby goes and i did not do the hard steps (like doing cardio more than body part workouts and taking calorie deficit diet). am also a vegan and didn't consumed any fitness products like creaine nd stuff, so not a very nutrition rich diet.
guess i can't ignore the hard steps anymore . just once in my life if i could get a split chiseled stomach :/ (and maybe some cute girlfriend)6
people with fit muscular bodies, was there a time in life when you mainly focused on working out and gaining muscles? like doing it for 4-8 hours everyday and not focusing on work/life/studies?
or did you always kept fitness/workout a small part of your routine, like 1-2 hours everyday during free time?
I want to get fit, and i have started to like working out 1 hour everyday . but haven't started taking supplements or mass cutters or stuff like that. recently one of the trainers gave an offer to give me personal training at additional cost. sounded a little shady deal coz am already paying the gym owner a fees, and he wanted to keep it between us.
He emphasized on how he is going to give me a complete 1 hour time each day, but that's what i already expected from him (which he does not. he just tells me the exercises and rarely see me doing them ).
well, if its just about the time, i am still okay with that. but if he started pushing me to workout more, or do those steroids/supplement stuff, i am just not interested completely.
However i am interested in getting a good body. so maybe this intense workout , if done in limit could help. so just wanted to know that have you ever did intense workout or just gradually gained more strength/mass/muscles?13
