I am currently making a MS Access DB for my soon to be former workplace (compulsory social service) with a GUI.

It's a project administration DB with Schools, Projects, Plans, etc. I am making it because they used Access like a Excel spreadsheet.

How much would you demand per hour?

@Artemix I especially hate VBA. Such... Shit. I'd like to write the GUI and Forms etc in C# or C++, a fuck it even in C!

If I were you I probably wouldn't demand anything. I suspect you are self employed so it's up to you to request what you think you are worth. If you aren't happy with the technology say so, access is a quirky platform to develop on I would personally use access with a .net gui if I had to use access at all. Are they small enough to use sql server express it's sounds like they are. On the other hand I was speaking to a friend who works for a huge multi national company and they currently run a lot of things on excel sheets.

@philcr No I am not self-employed. I am doing my compulsory social service and they asked me if I can make a better DB for them. They still want to use Access and they said I'll get paid how much I want per hour.

For your country somewhere between 40-60 USD/hour.

@lorki97 I work on average at 45 GBP per hour for hourly paid but if you block book my time say a week at a time I work for 1500 GBP per week. It's all relative as to how much you can charge if I'm helping out a mate I'll work at 35 GBP so there is still meat on the bone for my friend.

I believe you can make a mssql database and use access with it.
