    @spongegeoff My memory is shit and I don’t code every hour of every workday to keep it fresh enough. If search engines and StackOverflow didn’t exist, I’d be unemployable.

    @stackodev If SO and search engines didn't exist the world would be a very different place - but they do exist and are there to help you, me and millions of other devs get things done. You might perhaps be discounting other qualities, such as common sense, business awareness and life experience, which add greatly to the value of what you do?

    Using HTML5 for form inputs will save a ton of work and help you look good really easily. Likewise, it's worth getting to know one front end framework really well - it'll really pay back the time invested. I got a lot out of UIkit v2. Has an online customiser for quick styling of an overall look and useful js components. It's lightweight, has example code you can 'inspect', no preprocessor nonsense.
