When i was 16 i said fuck school, i will be a game developer. Of course everyone said noop, you will not, grow up. Now i am 20 and a game developer with a highly paid job. The people said to grow up are either unemployed or doing shitty jobs. Also i never finished school :D

In what country do you live?

I'm Germany that would sadly impossible. They don't judge you on what you know Here but on what paper you have and what grades. Often not caring if it's even meaningful.

    And welcome and congratulations.
Not only to be a game dev but also to be paid well is quite rare

I hope you will stay up to date regarding new technologies and master software engineering practices. If you don't it might come back to you somewhere in the future. Education, especially in software engineering, is becoming more important today because many companies are making the transition to engineering software in a professional way. I wish you all the best for the future and happy to see that now you are a game dev. Looks like you do what you love and I know what that is like; it's awesome!!!

@Daniil I am located in Germany, skill and expirience is more important then your school history or degree, even though it should not be neglected. Especially in Germany where we have only a few big studios, and good people are hard to find. If you need some advice how to get started as a game dev in germany feel free to contact me via mail mail@hans-koch.me maybe i can give you a rough idea since based on your profile comments i think your knowlede is not really a problem 😉
