I think Python isn't so hard

I learned the gist of Python in a week. That's the opposite of difficult.

Brainfuck is not even that hard, it's just not easily readable. In fact, it only has 8 commands.

Seriously though I love python but the whole point is that it's easy to pick up code and run with it.

C++ is really easy, and you don't need to learn everything in the standard. Most of the things are additions to basic functionality. Basics are not far away from simple C.
Hard part is where new features goes in, for example promises.
